Inspired by an archive of Cuban shirts, this Cuban shirt is crafted using a fine gauge knitting machine to knit the entire body, combining knit tailoring with shirt sewing in a hybrid method. The pintucks and embroidery details characteristic of Cuban shirts are all recreated through knitting. The pattern, resembling same-color embroidery, is created through delicate knit detailing. It features a relaxed, wide silhouette. Made from a blend of linen and polyester, it achieves a natural appearance and a stable body. The melange color unique to the knit body, which is not seen in typical shirt fabrics, enhances its originality.
